If anyone knows me they know my love for neutrals. My closet is pretty much filled with black, white, tan and grey. The reason being, they are basics. For instance, a black silk slip dress like this one can be worn a million ways. You can pair it with various pieces or on its own with different shoes and accessories and it can completely change the look. I adore this dress because it is a transitional piece. From Spring to Winter, you can wear it all year round. In the Winter, I would pair it with statement booties and a leather jacket. In Summer, you can see me sporting it on its own with sandals and a straw bag. For those chilly Summer nights, I’d throw on an oversized denim jacket. My philosophy is to always try to invest in basics that could last you years and every season add in about 5 “of the moment” pieces to stay on trend. I’ll give you a little insight soon on my 5 “of the moment” pieces I’m participating in this Summer.
